BBAG Yearling Sale with great result

This year's yearling auction, which ended yesterday evening as part of the Große Woche in Baden-Baden, generated a very satisfactory result. Eight of the yearlings consigned by us left the ring for a total amount of €721,000, which corresponds to an average price of €90,125. The top prize of our lot was achieved by filly by German champion sire SOLDIER HOLLOW, who is a full sister to the group winner DABBITSE and half-sister of the recent group-winning DURANCE. The filly named DJETTIES BEACH was went for €150,000 to Panorama Bloodstock. The latter also purchased a daughter of the group winner GOOD DONNA by NEW BAY for €120,000.

Also, the first yearling crop of Melbourne Cup winner PROTECTIONIST was met with great confidence. The successful Irish young trainer Joseph O'Brien acquired the first foal of ZIPPITY DO DA, a daughter of the top-mare POLISH ROMANCE, for €95,000. Yet another PROTECTIONIST-colt out of multiple Listed winner PEACE SOCIETY was sold to Powerstown Stud Ltd. for €82,000.
