Broodmare results in 2018

For us at Ronald Rauscher Bloodstock a very successful year is drawing to a close, and at this point we would like to take a brief look back at a few successes that are not always so obvious to the observer - the great deeds that are achieved by the broodmares sold by us. In this area there were especially four interesting candidates whose progeny took center stage in 2018:

From a national point of view, the German Oaks winner WELL TIMED (photo) is of particular interest. The mare by Holy Roman Emperor dominated the 160th edition of the German classic for fillies in an impressive manner and the two fifth places in the G1 Prix de l'Opéra and G1 Premio Lydia Tesio were better than the result might suggest. WELL TIMED is a daughter of WELLS PRESENT, who was sold by us at the Arqana Breeding Stock Sale in 2017.

Four-year-old STRADIVARIUS, who races in the colours of Bjorn Nielsen and is trained by John Gosden, advanced to a serial winner of the super class. Unbeaten in 2018, the world-class stayer looks at an extraordinary record of three Gr.1 and four Gr.2 wins with total earnings of 1.8 million euros. Stradivarius's mother PRIVATE LIFE (Bering) was successfully consigned by Ronald Rauscher Bloodstock at the Tattersalls December Mare Sale.

The Prix de l'Opera winner LADY MARIAN was consigned in the same place and found a new career as one of Godolphin's broodmares. Her third foal is a New Approach colt LOXLEY, who romped home impressively in the Grand Prix de Deauville and finishes the year with two Gr.2 wins.

Also at the December Mare Sale in Newmarket ROCK MY SOUL went through the ring as one of our offers. The multiple Listed-winner is the dam of 2018 triple Gr.3 winner YOUNG RASCAL (Intello), who last won the British Legion Stakes (Gr.3) in Newbury.
